Spanish Lake Kindergarteners celebrate Dr. Seuss

All over the country, teachers, teenagers, librarians, politicians, actors, athletes, parents, grandparents, and other have participated in Read Across America activities to bring reading excitement to children of all ages. Ascension Parish is no different. At Spanish Lake Primary, Kindergarten teachers scheduled several guest readers to share a story with the children throughout the week. I love children, so I decided to volunteer.

When I showed up at the school to read, they had made a welcome banner for me. Three very polite Kindergarteners escorted me back to the Kindergarten area. I selected a book, and the students eagerly listened and participated when asked questions. It was a great morning filled with tons of reading fun!
