She’s Thrifty!

treasuresWhere can you find books like The Hobbit for a dollar? Where can you find blankets for $3? What about neckties for $1.50? Nowhere, you may say… but alas! There is a place with these great prices. That place is COEA’s Treasures of the ARC.

I begin to browse around the knick-knack shelves. I see everything from coffee mugs and coasters to old keyboards and printers. To the left, a large bookshelf is bursting with books like: Breaking Dawn, and The Left Behind Series. I am floored by the amount of goodies to peruse through. Mostly, however, I am impressed by the quality of the items.

After my initial shock resides at the bountiful selection, I decide to see what I can find for under $25. At Treasures of the Arc, $25 gets you more than you may expect.

So, I ended up with:

A coaster set ($2.50)

A Picture frame ($3.50)

Two neckties for my husband ($3.00)

Two pairs of pants for my 7 year old ($3.00)

Two children’s books ($2.00)

An LSU hat ($1.00)

A new couch throw blanket ($4.00)

All for $17.00!!!

Now, I have never been much of a thrifter, but I will definitely be back after a trip like that! I spent less than my budget and still got something for my husband, my son, and myself. Now that’s thrifty!
