Seven arrested on drug charges


Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office Major Kevin Hanna reports seven arrests following a Drug investigation in Prairieville.

On July 15, the Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division began an investigation into reports of drug activity taking place at 17264 Hwy 929 Prairieville. During the investigation, narcotics detectives arrested the home owner, Crystal Carter, and her passenger Jeffrey Walker on drug charges during a traffic stop in Prairieville.

As a result of the traffic stop Narcotics detectives executed a search warrant at Crystal Carter’s residence located at 17264 Hwy 929 Prairieville. During the search, narcotics detectives located and arrested five additional people that were in Carters home. The five were arrested for possessing heroin, methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia.

Crystal CarterCrystal Carter, 31, of 17264 Hwy 929, Prairieville, was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine, three counts possession of schedule II CDS, and two counts possession of a legend drug.

Jeffery WalkerJeffrey Walker, 32, of 37284 Sue St., Geismar, was arrested and charged with two counts of possession of schedule II CDS, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a legend drug.

JENNIFER ODOMJennifer Odom, 29, of 37214 Swamp Road, Prairieville, was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of heroin, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

CALEB WHEATCaleb Wheat, 27, of 44102 Hwy 429 St. Amant, was arrested and charged with possession of schedule II CDS, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of heroin.

MORGAN PATTERSONMorgan Patterson, 21, of 17264 Hwy 929, Prairieville, was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of heroin, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

JOANNA WASCOMJoanna Wascom, 28, of 2013 North Amelia St., Gonzales, was arrested and charged with possession of schedule II CDS, possession of schedule I CDS, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

KYLE FLETCHERKyle Fletcher, 30, of 12282 Calcote Road, Gonzales, was arrested and charged with possession of schedule I CDS, possession of schedule II CDS, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

All subjects have been booked into the Ascension Parish Jail awaiting bond as of July 18.

    It is amazing that some of you fools leave the comments that you do. It’s not about getting these people behind bars, but getting them the help they need. Half of these people that just got arrested are probably better than some of you leaving comments. Kathy and David–you two need to do some soul searching. Rather than leaving your two cents on this site, why don’t you get out and offer those with problems some help.
